Gertie
Gertie is a female grey and white shorthair cat born on Dec 27, 2023. She is smart, loving, and playful. She does not like to be alone and should be adopted with another cat or kitten or into a home that already has cats. I do not know how she would get along with dogs, but expect she would adjust quite well. Gertie is very vocal if she’s left alone, stuck in a room, or wants to be fed. She’s a bit mischievous and will get into the fridge, dryer, dishwasher, etc, so lots of vigilance will be needed to make sure she doesn’t end up in harm’s way. Sometimes she curls up on your lap or sleeps next to your head in bed. Gertie may require Fortiflora (available for purchase on Amazon) to keep her stool firm or she may outgrow the need. She is very attached to me and may take a little while to adjust to her new family. I would love if her new family will share with me how she adapts. The adoption fee is $25. RH
Gertie is located in Western North Carolina. Optional transport is available weekly. If your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you wish to transport the pet to your location for a cost.
