Riverbend Rescue Cats

 

We recently rescued 25 beautiful, young, female cats. They have all been spayed and had their shots at Rutherford Veterinary Hospital. They are now staying in one of our foster homes. Within the next few days, more photos of these cats will be posted here. These are friendly cats who need permanent homes as soon as possible. If interested in adopting any of these cats, please call 828-625-9361.

Mark your calendars for the CPC Cat Adopt-a-thons on the first Saturday of each month from 11-2 at EarthDog Pet Spa on Rail Road Ave. These events are sponsored by the Community Pet Center.

We meet every third month (no longer monthly) on the third Tuesday at 6:30 PM at the County Annex Building in Rutherfordton. Our next meeting is scheduled for July 21st.

Our Spay/Neuter Statistics for 2008

 

dogs and cats sterilized through our voucher program:  209

 

through our stray and feral program:

181 females sterilized

150 males sterilized                                           total        331 cats

5 dogs caught, sterilized, and adopted out                          5 dogs

 

                                                                 total sterilized    545 animals

 

Due to limited finances, we have chosen to close our Adoption Center on Railroad Avenue. We have made the decision to use our resources to continue promoting the number one solution to our pet overpopulation problem - and that is spay/neuter. We offer spay/neuter vouchers to low or fixed-income families in Rutherford County. We are available to you at our phone number - 828-286-0222. Our mailing address is still PO Box 998, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
