Adoptable Cats
If you have a pet that you would like to have adopted, please send us the following information. Pet's name, sex, breed, description, whether spayed or neutered, whether up-to-date on inoculations, housebroken, general personality, how well the animal gets along with other animals and children, whether or not the animal has been de clawed, and whether or not the animal is an indoor pet or outdoor pet, and how to reach you. Black cats
I would like to add my personal opinion at this point. Many people will not adopt a black cat, mainly out of superstition. Nothing could be further from the truth. I think that black cats are the most beautiful and loving. You would be doing yourself a favor by adopting a black cat.

Namaste - Female Karma - Female Apollo - Male Simba - Male Agape - female These kittens were all born on April 21, 2010. Their foster parent writes:
The kittens all use the litter box and have been dewormed once. I had their mother snap tested before they were born and she was fine. I want them to be spayed or neutered, and inside cats only and I prefer that they not be declawed. Of course I would love if someone wants to adopt more than one together. Also, I want whoever adopts them to promise that if for any reason in the future that they cannot keep the kitten that they will contact me and let me take it back or place it. I do not want them ending up at the shelter or let loose. I will be glad to take them to the person's home in the county or not too far out of the county. Just let me know and if it's not too far, I can take the kitten/s.
My name is Namaste and I love to play! Even though I am the runt of my litter, I am the most adventurous of my siblings. I am sweet and friendly, but still learning to let people hold me. Given some time and affection I could become a lap kitty. I like to play with people, cats, and toys! Sometimes I make my own toys. For example, a Q-Tip is one of my favorite toys!
My name is Karma and I am very independent. I am the Alpha kitten of my siblings. I am beautiful, dark, and mysterious. I like to play with my siblings and toys, but it takes me a while to warm up to people. I’m not sure I want to be held, but I might get used to it with practice.
My name is Apollo I like to play and nibble on toes and fingers. I like my belly rubbed and sometimes I might crawl into your lap and go to sleep. I like people, toys, and my siblings. I will probably learn to get along with other cats if necessary.
My name is Simba and I love to climb to the highest place I can go! I am a little rambunctious, but very sweet. I like people, cats, and toys. I am not afraid of other cats, but they may take a while to get used to me. I also like to jump high to try and catch things.
My name is Agape and I am the most loving of my siblings. I love to sit in your lap and if you rub my neck I will melt. I like to play, too. I would probably be okay as an only cat, but I would definitely get along with one of my siblings or most likely I could learn to like another cat.

Buddy - male - born September, 2009 Bootsy - Male - Born October, 2009 Buddy is very high energy. He loves his toys which he often carries around. Buddy is a happy affectionate clown; tolerates dogs, nonaggressive toward other cats. His is strictly an indoor cat.
Bootsy is a small tuxedo kitten with high white boots on his rear legs. He is a good house cat, but does not like to be picked up. He would not be good with small children. If interested in either of these kittens, call 828-625-9361.

Sparkles is a female, white long-haired cat, approximately 1 1/2 year old. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on her shots. Sparkles is a most beautiful kitty!!! She is often affectionate, but she does not get along well with other pets. And we do not think she should be in a home with children. She needs to be in the home of someone who knows about cats and how to handle them since she has had some trauma in her life. The cost of adoption is $60. Momma Kitty-She is a brown and orange calico cat with lime green eyes. She's just beautiful! Momma is a very loving but independent cat. She maybe 3 years old if that, not exactly sure but she's an adventurous animal.
Stubby-She is all black with a bobtail, she takes after her daddy. She's a fluffy cat with a sweet voice. I love to hear her "meow." She is a quiet but loving kitty. Stubby lets you hold her and cuddle her. Stubby is almost a year old and we're pretty sure she is pregnant.
Inky-She obviously gets her name from her color, black. She is a short haired cat with a bubbly personality. Inky loves to hang out and roll around for you. She is a sweet minded cat, independent but loves to be around people. She has 3 kittens of her own, only 2 days old.

Birdie

Birdie is a “special needs cat”. She has an injury that makes her unable to hold her urine all the time. She leaks a little in her sleep. She is a year old, spayed, litter trained except for the occasional leaking. This may correct itself in time, but no one knows for sure whether it will. Her foster mother keeps her in the basement for sleeping, and Birdie has towels she sleeps on. She does get to come up into the house, and you can tell her foster mother really loves her. But if there were a home out there where someone would let her stay in the family part of the house all the time, her foster mother would be happy to have her go there. May 28, 2009. I have an 8 year old spayed female cat, white with black spots. She was given to me because she didn't get along with her former owners dog. Her name is Cookie, the dog she didn't like is very rambunctious and I think just too much for an older cat. She is very friendly, seems to crave attention. My husband and I are getting up in years, have several other cats and don't feel that we can take on any more. We took her because we didn't want her to go to the pound. Contact Tula at 828-657-6092.
